I Support Early Intervention

So I have been thinking all night about what I am passionate about and I finally found it! I support early intervention! What is early intervention? It is a way of helping your child before they get too far behind in development, whether it is cognitive, physical, emotional, etc. What does it mean to support early intervention? It is being vigilant enough to know where your child stands in his or her development in the early years. And caring enough to seek help before it becomes a real problem. Searching long and hard for an explanation and trying to find a cure. I put Samantha in an early intervention program at six months old and I still have found no answers. However, she has progressed so much that her condition is no longer a major issue. Although she has ups and downs and still occasional appointments, it makes me happy to know that I was able to recognize the signs and seek help for Sami. Even though I am a Stay At Home Mom, I still want to make a difference outside the home. What better way to do that than to promote what I am most passionate about. I do not have a car or lots of money. So as my first step, I have decided to make a separate blog about all the things I went through with Sami and all the signs and steps to take in case you need to know. It can happen to any child, even if you think, "Not MINE!" It is possible. I will start it tomorrow. But for now, I guess I should put Baby to bed. Good Night.
