Houses

Well, lately Jessie and I have been talking more about buying a house. We considered getting one built, but what we are looking at being able to afford is about $90,000-$95,000. So we thought if we could buy a house for the amount we are paying in rent right now, maybe $50 or $100 more a month because of taxes and insurance, we would do that. And if we decide to sale later and get one built, we can.

So yesterday we did a bunch of running and talking to people. We submitted all of our information to the bank to get our preapproval-which, should be more than we were approved for last year ($95,000-$100,000) since he makes more now and we have more lines of credit. We also looked at a bunch of houses, and found one we think we want. It meets all of our criteria-3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry room in the kitchen, two car garage, and basement-for Jessie's man cave. lol. So, as soon as we get our preapproval in the mail, we are going to make an offer, God willing that nobody else has made one.

The house is only a mile down the road from us. It is simple, but that is all we need. It is in great shape-needs no work at all, for a great price. It comes with all the appliances also AND an alarm system! Jessie and I-even though we shouldn't-have already started making plans for his "man cave" and Samantha's "school room." Which will be more like storage for all of her school stuff and a place to put her big projects as she gets older. I just really hope we get it. I know we can afford it, and that we will get approved for that amount. It is just getting to it before anyone else. (Good news is, they said nobody else had looked at it. But they just dropped the price $1,000 and they are having open house on Sunday, so I am worried about that.)

Here are some pics.
