I could not be prouder!!!!

Samantha is doing it! She is reading! At one point she was stuck saying C-A-T spelled C-AT instead of CAT, but she finally gets it! Lately she has been associating words with whatever it is written. Like she has a sign on her closet that says "Princess," but she assumed it said "Closet" since that is where the sign is. Then last night she started sounding out the word Sonic. I figured that she was able to read it because she has memorized the logo. But today she wanted me to write out words for her to sound out. She just did one after the other! And then she started reading her first book! It is called Pop-Pop-Pop! It is one of those Level One Reader Books they use in school. She still needs a little assistance on words like "The" and such since those are her sight word. And she is very slow, but the point is she's got it!!! YAY, SAM!!!
