3 Year PAT and Progress Report.

Samantha had her Parents As Teachers visit today for her 3 year. She just did a screening, which Samantha, I know, did very well on. I think she even passed her physical development portion. I am very proud of her. She also got a gift from PAT-one of those nap time mats so she can eat on it, sleep on it, do her work on it. She is very excited about it! She also got a book-Level 1 reader about Polar Bears, which she is also excited about.

As far as Samantha herself, she is doing alright. She has been a little whiny and clingy lately, but we talked about it at her meeting and she thinks it might be that she is going through a growth spurt since it is about that time. Other than the last few days, she has really been enjoying dance. They have been getting ready for Christmas recital. (Dancing to the Christmas song by Alvin and the Chipmunks. It is too cute!) And she will be starting voice lessons at Ginger Brown next year too. She has also expressed interest in modeling, but I am not so sure about getting into all that.

Developmentwise, she is spelling better everyday. I am hoping she will be reading really pretty well before she turns 4 so that we can get that out of the way before she starts school. Her language is good and so is her memory for language. She memorizes whole songs and sings them all the time! It's too cute! Socially she is doing better, a little more outgoing. She makes friends easy, but she prefers kids older than her. She has a new friend named Gavin. (Jessie's friend's son) He is apparently her boyfriend. She sees him several times a week, and it is just so cute to watch her with him. They play video games together, go to the playground, and we have been able to go out and do some fun stuff with them like the aquarium and the Discovery Museum. She Loves having a friend that she sees all the time and I am glad Jessie has a friend that I get along with and that knows how to act around kids. She isn't doing much new physically. But she did impress me because apparently she can draw a picture now! Not just scribble. She actually drew a person today at the Parent Meeting! It really looked like a person!

I can't believe my Baby will be 3 in 9 days!!!

Lastly, invites are done. Cake plans are made. And costume for Halloween is ordered. Whew. I stayed busy yesterday, but got everything done that had been on my "To Do" list. Now I am just waiting for her birthday week, which is NEXT WEEK!!! Jessie is working a 7 day week this week, but he has some off days saved up that he will be taking next week so we can go out and do stuff in the day.
