Updated Christmas/Mall Show Post

Ack! Samantha did AMAZING at her mall show!!! (Luckily Jessie got off on time. She was so happy he was going to get to see her.) She was number 12 on the que list this year, THANK GOD! Last year she was 54! Poor thing had to sit and wait her turn for an hour. She was so anxious! This year, she knew exactly what to expect, she got up there and she did GREAT! Even better than last year. Their song this year was a 1 minute and 54 seconds! Compared to last year, which was 32 seconds! She remembered most of her song. But the teacher did sit up from to remind them of what they needed to do if they forgot.

Afterward, we took Sam to iHop. YUM! We sat and talked for awhile. Sam watched her dance video over and over and kept asking when her next mall show was. Then afterward we took her to McDonalds to get ice cream. We were all exhausted when we got home.

Also, I am just so happy Samantha made a friend in dance this year! And so did I. (Her friend's Mom-of course.) Everytime we go to class or something outside of class like her mall show, when she sees Lyla, they head straight for each other. Her Mom got a few pictures of them at the show. Of course Sam was being all silly, but it was cute. She is going to send them soon, and I will post them also.

Well, I guess this whole video thing just isn't going to work. So Christina (and Mom), I will show you guys later, and I will try to post videos next time she performs.

Another thing, I figured I would add to this post instead of making a new one, we ordered Sam's iPod touch and her case. We ordered the iPod from the Apple Comcast Employee store. (Jessie gets discounts from several stores online because he works for Comcast.) We got a 16 gig 4th gen iPod with free engraving for the same price as buying an 8 gig at WalMart. We got free shipping also since we ordered through that store. Jessie wanted to have it engraved, so we put, First Line:"Merry Christmas, Sami '12" Second Line: Love, Mom and Dad" We ordered her a pink case from Amazon for $2.50 It is like the Griffin case. It has the hard inside and then the outside part is that flexible, rubbery material...

I still have a few more things to get her. We are getting her the carriage still. But for her stocking, Jessie and I talked about putting some small educational toys in there. She loves place mats to play with her play dough on, so we thought of getting her a states one. (We just ordered it. I am updating. We got her a neat one for about the same price. The states and capitals are on the front and then on the back is a blank outline, so she can quiz herself as she gets older.) And then we got a poster with space on it that will fit on the back of her door. It talks about the planets and astroids and comets. A spanish CD. Which has some good songs about the basics: days of the week, months of the year, numbers. But I am not sure what else we could do, stuff that only costs a dollar or two. Any ideas, anyone?
