Closing In 2 Weeks

YAY! For those of you who don't know, closing was set back AGAIN because the underwriter "didn't realize" the property we were buying was in Georgia. And the USDA in GA is backed up, so instead of taking 2-3 days to go through, it will take up to 15. I am a little irate about that. Like how do you not notice the property you are working with isn't in Tennessee? Every paper in that huge stack had the address on it. (But if we don't close until July like we expect, that means we don't have to pay our mortgage until September. Which means more money saved for a washer and dryer, paint, and the basement. So that is a good thing.) That is the only good part though. It took them 4 days to approve Jessie's verification of employment. Which they put me through a big hassel on to begin with...I just don't want to go into that...Anyway, so it is being overnighted to the USDA in Georgia. And then they have 15 days to look at the paperwork and make sure every little paper is there to make it all official. And then they will overnight it back to the loan office. And then we will close! So probably about 17 days from now. I am just so happy that there is no more running here and there trying to get papers together. And sitting by the computer waiting for them to email me back saying that this or that went through. It's done. Now we just...wait. I can breathe. We are going to the beach again this weekend. *Breathes Sigh of Relief* :)
