Another Update On Moving

So far getting ready to move is still going well. I have most stuff packed up, aside from things like clothes and food. Samantha has a few toys, but since she mostly draws and reads when we are home, I just kept stuff like that out. 


Since we have to be out of here on the 31st, we are still discussing what to do with our stuff for a week. We are considering the POD option because they will drop off/pick up, store, and deliver back to our new place. It is about $200.00, but we don't have to pay any rent in June, so it is still cheaper than staying here.


We are having a harder time with Sam than we thought. Not too bad, but she isn't being as easy as she was when she was 1 and we moved. lol. We have been reading books and talking about it. I am trying to find a video to show her on moving, but no luck so far. She is just a bit upset about her room. She is nervous about leaving it, but I think once we get there she will realize it is pretty much the same, actually better. It was sort of sprung on her. We looked at the house, made an offer, and her whole world just changed instantly. Ever since that happened, we have been dragging her around to sign papers. I am on the phone all the time. (She actually knows all the ladies names. Sometimes, when she answers the phone, they will say who they are, and she will say, "Oh, it is Cindy. I think that is the loan lady." lol) And I know the hardest part for her has been all the packing. All her stuff is quickly disappearing into boxes, and she doesn't like it. Hopefully it will get easier for her. :/  


Now for the most important part, I talked to the loan lady again today. She said that our final approval with the underwriter and the USDA went through!  Now the only thing that can go wrong is if we were dumb enough to try to go get financed for something big, like furniture or a car or something. Which, we know better. So we are all set  it seems. All we have to do now is take a First Time Homebuyers Class and wait for closing!!! They still don't have an exact date. They just say between June 8th and June 11th, and that they will know more closer to time. The sooner the better. Jessie is taking off work at the end of May to help get stuff loaded and stored. And then another day or two on closing day and the day after to get moved in!!!
