Ah. Pretty weather means more to do. And the beginning March means I do not watch Brennon anymore. (Although, I do take him from time to time still, and I plan to keep doing so.)
Samantha is getting so big on me. She is 3-1/2 now! She is so interested in all the activities we do, and has even come up with some of her own! Like she has recently taken an interest in sponge painting. And the other day we made a butterfly mobile. Today she started her own nature collection. Right now all she has is a rock and a Buttercup, but it's a start. We put it in a plastic dish and set it on the counter for everybody to see. She loves the unstructured activities we do on the spur of the moment just as much as the ones I plan weeks in advance.
She can also sit through storytime now, the entire time. She is extremely well behaved during it, and always looks forward to getting more books. She picks out her own. We bought her a Catoosa County Library Canvas Bag to put her books in from a fundraiser they are doing to buy E-Books. She Loves that thing and carries it everywhere.
All these trips to the library are really encouraging her to continue trying to read on a higher level. We have started going over more difficult sounds like "ch" and words with two vowels or an E at the end. She is picking it up so quickly! We play a lot of Starfall.com still. She has her Leap Pad, which has really taught her to write all of her letters. We do a lot of spelling board games and stuff. And just reading to her seems to help a lot.
As far as how I am doing, I have been doing better. Getting the house more fixed up has really helped. All my plastic storage bins match now. And I am able to handle having Samantha's school stuff out without freaking out. I actually kind of like it. I found spots for all of Jessie's stuff. Got him a large bin and organized it. I use a lot of baskets for the stuff under the sink and in Sam's room. And we got the carpet cleaned, which made me feel a LOT better. The apartment itself isn't completely perfect, but I have learned to accept that I can't do anything about it because it isn't mine, but I am not going to live here forever, so I am okay with it.
Jessie is doing well also. I am pretty sure I already mentioned it, but he quit school again, for the 3rd time. We have decided that he won't go back again. It just isn't for him. So after he makes CT-3, (one more promotion, hopefully in the next 6 months. If he meets all his points every month for 6 months he will lock in.) he will try to work his way into office work. He got another raise, his annual raise. Now he makes $12.18 an hour. He doesn't work as much overtime anymore, thank goodness. But he does make a lot more sales now that he is more knowledgeable about their products, and he makes pretty good commission. He hasn't picked up his games but a few times in months! He has been busy at the gym and now that it is getting warmer, he is going to start hunting and fishing again. (Samantha and I may start a garden or start going to the local Farmer's Market so that we don't have to buy as much from the grocery store anymore. Hopefully it will be a bit healthier that way.)
I guess that is about it. Here are some pics.
