For the first time in forever, my Mom actually watched Samantha for us. Jessie and I went out to Chili's first. (I had a coupon for Chili's AND Rock City. Our date ended up being like half price and it still cost like $60.00. Ha Ha.) Anyway, afterward we went to Starbucks for dessert and Jessie wanted some sort of carmel coffee thing. When we got to Rock City THEY WERE PACKED! The line was crazy and we stood there for over an hour. And then after we got out of the ticket line we stood in another line to get in. When we did get in, it was pretty crowded. I felt a bit rushed, and it was FREEZING. So, in my opinion, it was a bit overrated. However, I had fun just being there with Jessie and joking and looking at the lights and just focusing on us. He had never been to Rock City, so he was really impressed with the whole "Seeing 7 States." There were some inside stops throughout the trail, a gift shop, a snack bar, a pavilion. They had some performances going on and we watched them for awhile. It was a highschool group, and they were amazing! They had some really cool things going on for kids like decorating gingerbread cookies and pictures with Santa. It made me miss Samantha, but I realize Jessie and I need to do things together by ourselves too. It really seems to refresh us every month. I have notice we hardly even argue since we started this whole once a month date night.
Side Note: I can't wait for this weekend! Friday Samantha has a Parents As Teachers group meeting. Saturday is RECITAL DAY!!! And Sunday she has the Express train ride! It's about time. I bought the tickets forever ago! Also, I am still getting ready for Christmas. I don't know what is wrong with me. I have been so focused on cleaning, I haven't done too much for Christmas lately. I have all of Samantha's bought, but not most of my family-They are hard to shop for. I need to get on it...

It sucks we always have to take pictures of ourselves and it's just our faces. :/ |
