Birthday Week 2011-3 Years Old

Monday: We spent part of the day sleeping in-really recovering from a really fun weekend...Anyway, then we woke up and went to get Samantha's ears pierced. She was excited all the way there and picked out her own earrings. She sat in my lap while they pierced them. She flinched a bit and cried a little, but she recovered quickly and was so proud of herself. She now has big girl earrings and a necklace that matches it. She isn't even playing with her earrings, just wearing them. I am so proud of her. Then we had movie night. She picked Rio-cute movie. We had a pizza and ice cream party, which she really enjoyed.

Tuesday: We went bowling. She didn't know what to think at first. It was pretty loud. and she is not a fan of loud noises. But after a few minutes, as usual, she warmed up, and LOVED it! She was so excited to roll the ball. Then we took her to eat and play at the mall for a little bit. And of course dance.

Wednesday: This was Samantha's FAVORITE part, Partyville! I was going to take her to Pump It Up, but I had a coupon for Partyville. lol It was really neat. We will probably keep taking her there in the colder months especially. It is just a giant inflatable playhouse. She is generally scared of playhouses like that because, again, loud noises, and she HATES to be thrown off balance. (Her therapist called it midline aversion.) Anyway, she got used to this too, which is good because a lot of kids choose to have their birthday parties at places like this, and I didn't want her to be the one screaming her head off when we walked in. We got to play with her because we were the only ones there the whole time. We stayed for hours. She wore us out! Jessie and I agree that it was our favorite too. Jessie won't quit going on about it!

Thursday: This was Jessie's Day. He decided to take her to the fountain in the middle of Chatsworth. She really enjoys the fountain, so she was excited. I would have to say that this was a pretty fun day. He knows how to make her happy. He got her pizza and her own Sprite. She RARELY gets a Sprite, so she was thrilled to say the least.

Friday: We took her out for a Birthday Dinner. We told her she could have anywhere she wanted, ANYWHERE. And she chose-MCDONALDS! What?! So we ate at Chick-Fil-A next door and let her play on the playground there since all the McDonald's are taking out their playgrounds-WHAT?! Anyway, then we took her to WalMart and let her pick out a toy. She got the Tangled doll, which we got for half the price it was marked. It rang up wrong, so I was pretty excited about that...

Saturday: We didn't do anything for her Birthday Week because we are taking her and Gavin (Her "Boyfriend") out to the Discovery Museum soon. But my Aunt did have a church picnic that we went alright. Samantha had fun I think.

Sunday: Her Party-went well for once! I was very impressed. I did Word World theme like I have been planning. We got her all Word World gifts and had a banner and the cake and invites were made of letters...Then we just did plain colored plates, forks, cups, etc. It was a normal party, at the playground, nothing fancy, and I still don't like parties, but our families managed to stay away from each other. And Samantha had a blast. We did it at a real playground this year and Samantha had several of her friends come including Kylie Jade, Gracy, Cayle, and Gavin-Her "Boy Friend." It lasted a long time. It started at 1:00. People started leaving around about 3:00, but we had some more people show up around 3:30, so we didn't leave until 5:00. Then we took her to dinner with my grandparents and later that night had a bon fire with Gavin and his Dad.

She got some cool gifts-lots of strawberry shortcake, princess stuff, money. :p I can't wait to play with her new toys. I have been getting bored of her old toys. lol.

Then today, Monday, we did birthday pictures-which turned out really well. (I will post when I get them.) And just got back from her 3 year check up. All went well. She isn't as high on the growth chart as she used to be, which is good. But they do want to refer her back to PPS to get her another exam for ankle braces. :/ Aside from that, I would have to say this has been her best birthday week-by far.

Excited For Bowling

PARTYVILLE ROCKED!!!

My Two Loves Playing Around-They are silly.

She Loves her new Tangled Doll!!!

This is the cover of the invite-the circles are confetti. I put some in every envelope.

This is the inside. I was going to put a picture in there like I do every year, but I couldn't find a good one that matched.

The Cake-We had 4 different types. There were all kinds of cool ideas for Word World Themes
