I guess just a few more updates. I never have enough lately to make a whole post, but it makes me sad that I haven't been Blogging as much as usual. Sometimes I wonder what the point of my posts are...
Anyway, Samantha had her 2nd dance class yesterday. I met a few of the Moms and enjoyed talking to them. Samantha made herself a new friend named Grace. They hung out the whole class. This time Samantha was a little hyper, which shocked me. But she still practiced her dance and participated in the group stuff. They are working on a hula dance for their first recital. I am getting the name of the song from them tomorrow so we can work on it at home. She really enjoyed it.
Her reading is also going well. She is able to read a few 3 letter words by sounding it out. She starts with the last two letters and "I and G say ig." Then she will see the first letter and say, "P says p." And she can say, "P-ig." But it seems like she is having a difficult time making it flow. She eventually gets it, but it is tough for her right now, which is fine since she isn't even 3 yet. No rush. Just fun.
Also, Samantha's party planning is going alright. I have all the supplies except one thing for the goodie bags, but I need to know for sure who all is coming because it is something different for each kid. But for the goodie bags, I got letter gummies and letter cheezits, bubbles, a Word World coloring page, crayons, and then the special surprise that I am not going to say until after the party. My Aunt has asked about the colors I want for the cake, but the cake isn't going to require much planning because I know what I want. She doesn't have to design it. And then the invites-she says she is working on. I hope so, because I really want them mailed out by the middle of September. And she is going to hand make them like last year, so it will take a good bit of time. We still have to decide on what food to have. We know we are doing chips and coke, but don't know weather we are doing hotdogs or pizza. I guess they will end up the same price after having to buy buns and ketchup and the actual hot dogs. So we thought about doing Little Ceasars pizzas like we did at her first party. At least that is something we can take home if it doesn't all get eaten, unlike hotdogs...I guess I just made up my mind. Now I just gotta know how many people are coming and if they are actually going to eat...CHRISTINA! lol.
Jessie is doing well at work. He said he is getting a raise soon, at the end of his 6 months, and they told him if he kept his numbers up like he has been, he will get a promotion and a another raise at that time also. He works a lot of overtime though, which upsets me because some nights he won't come home until 7 or 8, 9 o'clock at night sometimes on Saturdays. And by then it is dinner, clean up, bed. But the time we do get time with him, he actually has energy and he isn't sad all the time since he enjoys what he does. Plus we are able to get out and do more. Since he enjoys camping and fishing so much now, and it is something we can do altogether and it doesn't cost too much once you get all the supplies, it is something we do a lot.
