She is doing great, by the way...Progress Report:
She is doing great with her reading. Like I said before, she knows all her letters and sounds. She can recognize small words, including her name, Mom, Dad, Cat, Dog, Ect. She is also starting to sound out small words. And it is really cute because she will going up to someone like my Mom and say, "D-D-Dum. your name is Dum. That starts with a D. And D says, Duh-Duh." She does that to a lot of people. She will even see something and say it like, "C-C-Car. Car starts with a C."
She is achieving small milestones, like with blocks. She knows how to make stairs by doing one-two-and three. She is also learning to "True Count." I didn't realize it until last night when she said, "I have two remotes." And then today when we were playing blocks, she would true count as we stacked. We haven't focused too much on counting, more on reading, so I was impressed that she wasn't just saying the numbers. She recognizes the values of each.
As far as talking, the same. She knows more words, but that is about it. She isn't doing anything knew physically. But social/emotional development, she is doing great! She is going to the daycare at church without crying. She still prefers to play by herself, but she will play with the other kids. She enjoys their company from time to time. And she is more willing to "jump in." It isn't taking her as long to warm up to places. She is more excited than usual about this whole dance thing and I cannot wait until she starts!
Also, an update on Jessie. He is still Loving his new job. He works a little more overtime that I would like him to, but not like 60 hours a week or anything. They are giving him lots of opportunities to make extra month through commission, collecting old supplies from customers, if someone calls in to compliment his service, going on small trips, overtime...One thing he really likes about his job is he is doing something different everyday. One thing he doesn't like is the heat. He is doesn't have air in his van, and he does a lot of work outside, so he is out in it all day, but he is completely on his own now and doing very well at it. I am very proud of him. I think this is one job he will stick with and like. And then hopefully when he finishes his college, he will be able to move up at Comcast.
