Samantha's First Camping Trip

I think we found a new hobby that ALL of us enjoy! Camping. We went camping for the first time this weekend, last minute decision. We had to run out and get a tent and everything. Then we picked up Jessie's brother and his girlfriend, and a few of his cousins and their families in Chatsworth, GA. It was great, once we got settled. Instead of going into great detail, here is what we did. 

We played on the playground, sat around a fire, where I had my very first hotdog cooked over a fire! If you can't tell, I have never been camping-that I remember anyway. Then Jessie went fishing and I stayed up and talked with the other ladies, finally fell asleep. The next morning we all packed up and Jessie, Me, Samantha, Jessie's brother, and his girlfriend headed to the beach. We stayed there forever. It was a lot of fun, once Jessie finally found it. I don't think Samantha has ever been to a "beach." It was Carter's Lake, but it had sand and all. She Loved it. In the water and out of the water. She got to bury her Daddy in the sand and swim in the water. She finally got so worn out, so I decided she needed to take a small nap. She started crying, not because she didn't want to take a nap, but because she wanted to take a nap in the water, which she Loves to do. So we sat in the shallow end and she fell asleep quick to the waves hitting her. Ahh...Then home for a cookout. This is where everybody discovered they were burnt, besides Samantha, who always tans. :) I would say it was a great trip. Definitely one of those memories I would like to keep. We want to camping again soon, maybe just the 3 of us, not sure yet.

PS Samantha Loves her float bathing suit Tammie gave her. She is able to stay up better, and is learning to swim with it. She wouldn't let anybody help her yesterday. Even when the water kept pushing her backwards and she wasn't getting anywhere. :)

*Side Note: Jessie agreed to let Samantha go to a sleepover! Her best friend Kylie Jade invited her to one, well, more like her Mom did, but the cool thing is, Jessie agreed. He said it just has to be after she turns 3, which isn't that far away. :)

This was my FAVORITE part! I have never sat around a campfire like that before. There was like 10 of us. It was so much fun!
