YMCA

Yesterday Jessie called after work and asked if we wanted to go swim in the pool at the Y since it was so nasty outside and we couldn't go for a walk or anything. So we did. It was the first time we used our membership since things have been so busy. I already knew what the Y looked like since we go to church there, but it looks a little different without all the equipment from church set up, so we looked around a bit. They have a lot of stuff there. They have a pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, a bunch of exercise equipment, a gym, child watch center, a giant playground. And they have a lot of classes. (I am going to take beginners Pilates starting in the next week or two so that I have something to do while we have Samantha in the room with the other kids.) (Exercising one day won't do any good for me, so I wanted to find something else.) We didn't put Samantha in Child Watch this time because we were going swimming. She did awesome for her first time in a pool since last summer. And last summer, when we went with Christina, she didn't even want to swim. She threw a HUGE fit, so I had to take her out. But this time she wanted to actually swim and she got on one of those "noodles" so she could float all by her self, "Like a Big Girl." Or as she said, "Kitty cat is swimming. Please don't hold on to her."
We decided to take her twice a week. On Monday, however, we are going to go after Kindermusik so it isn't a waste of gas to bring us home. I am going to hang out with her then. I can take her to the pool or something. And then on Wednesday we are going to take her to Child Watch so that she can start to be around more kids. And that is when I am going to do that class to keep me busy while she is in there. We would send her Monday while we are there instead, but I don't want to overwhelm her since she will have just gotten out of Kindermusik.
Anyway, I am just rambling. I am just excited about getting Samantha in there with some other kids and her getting to do all these activities. So here are some pics.
