Apparently I don't know my kid...

Which is a good thing because....SAMANTHA PASSED HER SWALLOW STUDY-COMPLETELY! We got to the radiology area at the hospital and had to wait for like an hour, which we have never had to do before. While we were there, a guy Jessie worked with came in the room with his family. They were there for the same thing. Only I felt bad because the little girl was three and she had had a tracheotomy done and she had surgery on her stomach. That poor Baby. =( She was adorable though. She was dancing around and playing with Sami. They jumped together. Watching them helped the time pass. Finally they called her back and explained what would happen if she failed this time. We put her in the seat she has sat in way too many times and they moved the xrays machine in front of her. They made her some KoolAid-which she was dying for since she wasn't allowed to eat before the swallow study-which started at ONE!!! When the doctor came in, they told her to drink-so she did. And after about 10 seconds, they told us we were free to go. She had passed. For her last study a few months ago, they said that it was weird she hadn't improved any. This time they said it was weird that she healed completely. BUT, this means NO MORE THICK IT!!! Ha Ha! She is so happy. We took her out to eat at Sonic and get a Route 44 drink. That thing was almost as big as her, but it was Happy Hour, so it was half price. We took her to the park, but let's just say I am glad we don't live in Hamilton County. There were a bunch of high schoolers there and they were obnoxious, nothing like the obnoxious teens in Ringgold. Oh well, she was happy and we let her play after eating, so she was even happier. We are going to let her start drinking out of a "big people's cup" now. LET THE MESSES BEGIN!
