Now that it is December 1st, we have a TON of things to do! I cannot wait. We are going to be busy, busy, busy!
First, Samantha has two parades this weekend (Friday and Saturday) with dance, Ringgold and Fort Oglethorpe. This weekend my church is also having a Christmas party. Then Samantha has a mall show on the 10th and her recital is just a week later! I can't wait! Unfortunately Jessie will miss this mall show for sure and probably the parades, but he will be able to come to the recital since he asked off. She also has some stuff with Parents As Teachers coming up. Their group meeting this month is Christmas party where Mrs. Clause will be reading stories. Then we have the Express train ride, which I am really looking forward to. And Jessie and I decided to go to Rock City without Samantha. We thought it would be a nice date, and we really need that with everything going on lately. Plus, we have so much planned that is all about Samantha, I think it will be okay if we do one thing for us. We go on a date once a month anyway, so this will be our date. We also have one of those buy one get one free coupons, so that is going to save some money. Afterward we want to go to dinner at Macaroni Grill. I heard they are a very nice restaurant, and Jessie's job gave him some gift cards for it a few months ago and we just haven't gotten to use them.
As far as Christmas plans go, we are going to get our tree and ornaments Sunday. We are decorating it Sunday night also. I have bought most of the gifts, except for those that I am not sure what to get. We had 15 people to buy for and some of them are real difficult. I am waiting on some of them to be shipped, but everything that I have already is wrapped. I got the Christmas decorating done, but it is sort of plain. (I might post pictures later.) I got us some matching stockings hanging up and then I did some winter decorations, like scented pinecones in a basket and such. I kept it simple this year. The tree will liven it up though I think. (Although, we don't do garland or lights or ice sickles or anything. We just do ornaments-family and homemade. And an angel and fake snow. We aren't into the flashy trees.) We are going to do some Christmas lessons and crafts closer to Christmas too.
