My Little Bro

Alright, so watching my little brother isn't that bad anymore. It is actually sort of fun. We have Samantha running on this new schedule, so what I do is have Brennon help me clean the house in the morning. When I am done, he plays and I finish my baking or lesson plans or whatnot. Then Samantha wakes up at 9:00. Samantha just Loves having Brennon over! She Loves having someone to play with, someone she can get rid of at the end of the day and have Mommy and Daddy all to herself. Having him is really helping her learn in some ways, and in other ways it hinders her. Having him around to help with things like puzzles and stuff makes her get more into it. And she learns a lot by watching him. It is also nice having two people to do her lessons with. But then, when it comes to reading or something like that, he doesn't want to sit down and do it, so she doesn't want to if he is there. Also, computer games, like her Word World are only one player. And we are trying to teach Samantha to use a mouse, but we can't do that with him around. I am trying to work around it and just do those things on the days he is not here, but that is tough with so much to do and only having a "4 day week" now. Anyway, rambling...

This sticker chart is working wonders. They are really into earning their stickers, and hate to lose one. It drives them nuts! I have also been hearing them say more positive things to each other, even when they are being "bossy." This morning Samantha said, "Instead of running, Brennon, how about we walk our feet." Ba Ha Ha.

This week we are working on Father's Day things. I am excited because I have some great ideas!
