Here are some more pictures I took the other day: (I know some people are offended by the fact that people are taking pictures, but I am not doing it out of disrespect. I am taking them in hopes of showing Samantha one day when she gets older, so that I can show her how hard our town worked to get it all back together. To show her how hard it is to build a life, especially when you have to pick up the pieces and start over. Then, hopefully, she won't take all we have for granted. And maybe she will be a little more apt to help those in need. I can show her an pictures off the internet, but it is different when it is your hometown. Maybe it will hit her harder.)
Also, I have a quick question for everyone. I need some advice. What are some ways that I could help out? (Keep in mind that Jessie hasn't gotten a check in almost a month.) I know donating food and clothing. Offering to babysit for those who don't have anywhere for their kids to go while they work or try to salvage what is left of their house. Other than that...I can't think of much. Jessie works during the day, so I can't go out and help. But when the church begins helping, they will have someone to watch all the kids. Any other ideas? I really feel like I need to help. Sitting at my house dusting and doing lessons with Samantha makes me feel terrible because this is my city too, and I should be helping to rebuild it.
