I'd Say...

My birthday went well. It didn't go as planned, but it was still fun. We had it planned to go to our "Tree" since we hadn't been there in awhile, but of course, it rained. lol. So we had a lazy day. We slept until noon. Right about noon Samantha asked, "Can we wake up now?" lol. So we did. We laid around and watched a little TV. Then Jessie and Samantha went to the store and got some stuff to make breakfast. They made a delicious breakfast, sausage, eggs, and biscuits. I ate WAY too much! Then we laid back down and watched more TV for pretty much the rest of the day. It was nice to have a break, but I feel so lazy, like I slept the weekend away. I am used to waking up at like 7:00 to get ready for yardsales with with my Mom. lol.
Also, Jessie is doing so well not playing on his game! Today is the first time he has picked it up since the last time I mentioned it. And the only reason he is playing now is he got a new game. (Which he didn't ask for any money. He just used trade in credit. I was so happy. He is being more responsible.) And when I asked him to come see something cute Samantha was doing, I said, "Nevermind. I forgot you were on your game." And he said, "No. That's fine. The game will always be here." So...since he isn't as into his gaming anymore, I get to redecorate the living room! (He sort of took over the whole bedroom with this new "Zen" thing that he likes so much. So that is now his room.) Anyway, so we are getting rid of the Crackdown poster and moving the Dexter picture to the bedroom or something, not sure. And I am thinking I am going to do more family portraits and stuff. I also want to make it more "country" like the kitchen. I wanna see what I can find at yard sales this year. They are starting to show up more and more. Yay...! Well, I guess I am done rambling. We are all going to lay down and watch Sleeping Beauty. Ahh..The joys of having a girl.
Oh, and a few more things. I am so excited, I came up with 52 topics for Samantha's lessons, enough for the next year! Also, we have started Samantha's Easter basket. We are doing an art theme. We already bought a bunch of crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc. from a consignment sale. They were all brand new, unopened, and only $5.00 for five things! We are also getting her a Crayola toy we wanted to get her for Christmas. It plays music when you color, and the faster you color, the faster the music plays...I am so excited!
